CVSA Roadcheck 2015

Semi-truck on the road in the desertIt’s coming in June, CVSA Roadcheck 2015.

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) will be conducting their International Roadcheck 2015, June 2-4. This is the 28th year of this intense commercial vehicle roadside inspection. Ten Thousand (10,000) CVSA local, state and federal inspectors in Canada, the United States and Mexico will inspect trucks and buses around the clock for those 3 days.

The first item on the checklist is always the brake system of the truck or bus. The inspectors are looking for air leaks, correct brake adjustment and functional brake system warning devices. They also check the drivers license, log book, registration and manifest. Check the CVSA site for the complete list of items they will be inspecting.

The most stunning of the results were that 9.3% of passenger carrying vehicles were placed out of service.
