What you need to Know?
By now you veterans know that you must have registered with the Clearinghouse as of January 6, 2020. You new guys and gals that have not yet registered must do it right away. As a registered CDL or CLP Driver you may use the Clearinghouse to view any of your records posted on Clearinghouse on/or after January 6, 2020 (Implementation Day).
The Clearinghouse lets you know exactly where you stand with the Drug and Alcohol Program. CDL Drivers can view their own records, provide prospective employers with access details about any violations, and select a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).
What types of Drivers are affected?
All CDL Drivers who operate CMVs on public roads, including:
• Interstate and intrastate motor carriers, including passenger carriers.
• School Bus Drivers
• Construction equipment Drivers.
• Limousine Drivers.
• Municipal vehicle Operators.
• Federal Drivers subject to FMSCA Drug and Alcohol testing regulations, Such as Department of Defense, School Districts for example.
We all have a common interest in keeping our work place safe. This is the way to that goal.
