Finding a Certified Medical Examiner is as easy as visiting the National Registry.
All Medical Examiners performing physical examinations for interstate drivers are required by FMCSA to be registered on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners as of January 1, 2014.
The National Registry provides CMV drivers and carriers with a convenient list of medical examiners in their area who have been certified as having the knowledge to determine if a driver can safely handle the medical demands of driving a CMV.

If you need assistance preparing for your medical exam, also visit OOIDA’s new online resource: DOT Doc.
The DOT Doc website helps drivers prepare for their DOT physical in order to avoid common mistakes, allows drivers to share their experience, and provides access to search reviews.
